Terms of Use
The deal in plain terms. TrueTotal is a self-help tool that helps you check and dispute a total-loss offer yourself. It is not a law firm, not an appraiser, and it does not promise a result.
- TrueTotal is a self-help tool. You review everything and send it yourself.
- It is not legal advice, not an appraisal, and it does not guarantee any recovery.
- The full package is a flat $49, one time, delivered instantly, so all sales are final once it is generated. If it could not produce a usable result for your report, email us and we will make it right or refund you.
By using TrueTotal you agree to these terms. Please read them; they are short and they matter.
What TrueTotal is
TrueTotal is a self-help tool for car owners. You upload the total-loss valuation report your insurer used, and we reconstruct the report's own math to show you where the numbers may have shorted you and to help you build a written counter-offer you send yourself. Everything we produce is for you to review, decide on, and send. You stay in control of your claim at every step.
What it is not
- Not legal advice. We are not a law firm and we are not your lawyer. Nothing here is legal advice. For legal advice about your claim, talk to a licensed attorney in your state.
- Not an appraisal. TrueTotal does not inspect your vehicle and does not issue an appraisal. Our output is an analysis of the insurer's own report, not an independent valuation.
- Not your representative. We do not contact, negotiate with, or represent you before your insurer. You send everything yourself.
The free check and the paid package
The gap-check is free: upload your report and see the flaws we found and the estimated dollar gap. The full dispute package is a flat $49, one time. It includes a plain-English breakdown of each flaw, a counter-offer letter built from the report's own math and your state's rules where they apply, current comparable listings, and the sources behind each point. The analysis is only as good as the report you upload; if the report is incomplete or unreadable, the result may be limited, and in some cases we will tell you it needs a manual look.
Payment and refunds
Payment is a one-time $49 handled by Stripe. The package is a digital product delivered to you immediately after payment: you get the full letter, breakdown, comparables, and sources right away. Because it is delivered instantly, we cannot offer refunds for a change of mind once the package has been generated, so please use the free gap-check first to see exactly what you are buying. What we stand behind: if the tool could not produce a usable package for your report, or something went wrong on our end, email us within 14 days and we will make it right or refund you. We never offer contingency pricing and we never take a percentage of any recovery.
Acceptable use
Use TrueTotal for your own claim, or one you are authorized to help with. Do not upload documents you have no right to share, do not misuse the service or try to break it, and do not resell the output as your own product. The site, its content, and its tools are ours; you get a personal license to use them for your dispute.
No guaranteed outcome
We cannot and do not promise that your insurer will raise its offer, or by how much. Whether an offer changes depends on your policy, your state, your facts, and your insurer. What we give you is a grounded, documented case built from the report's own numbers. What you do with it, and how your insurer responds, is not something we control.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us for it. Some places do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product changes; the current version always lives here, and continuing to use the service means you accept the current terms. Questions? Email support@gettruetotal.com.
